Bunny Tales at the Grand opening of April’s Kittens Rescue

We had the best time this weekend at the grand opening of April’s Kittens Cat Rescue, and we had to share it with you.

As a children’s publishing company that loves animals, when we heard about April’s Kittens opening their doors to cats in need, we knew we wanted to show up and show support. We brought along a copy of Where’s Winnie? and some cat treats for the kitties, which honestly felt like the most Bunny Tales thing we could do.

Watching a new rescue open is such a hopeful thing. Every cat that walks through those doors gets a second chance, and the people behind April’s Kittens are putting in real work to make that happen. We are so glad places like this exist in our community.
At Bunny Tales, we believe that books and animals go hand in hand. Where’s Winnie? was written for little ones who love dogs, but the heart of the story is really about connection and care, which is exactly what a rescue is all about.
